Fill out our application form
You start by filling out our short Adoption Application. This helps us understand your lifestyle, home environment, experience with pets, and what kind of companion would be the best fit.
Initital Conversation
We arrange an informal chat (via phone or video call) to discuss the animal’s personality, routine, medical history, and specific needs in detail, as well as answer any questions you have.
Meet & Greet
If you are based locally in Armenia, we organize a meet-and-greet so you and your family can spend time with the dog or cat in a relaxed setting. Virtual meet-ups are also available.
Home Check & Adoption Agreement:
We conduct a simple virtual or in-person home check to ensure a safe environment (e.g., secure fencing or cat-safe windows). Once approved, we sign a standard Adoption Agreement outlining responsible care commitments.
Post-Adoption Support:
Our relationship doesn't end when an animal leaves our gate. We remain available to offer advice, behavioral tips, and ongoing support as your new family member settles into their forever home.
Our primary focus is population control and improving the welfare of stray dogs and cats, with our current work centered in the Kotayk region of Armenia. We believe that spaying and neutering, combined with food, veterinary care, and community support, can prevent generations of animals from being born into life on the streets.
As our resources and capacity grow, we hope to expand our geographic reach and eventually establish a shelter in Kotayk where animals in need can be brought in for physical care and rehabilitation.
International adoption may be available for certain animals when we have the resources, appropriate placement, and ability to safely coordinate the process. However, international adoption is not currently the primary focus of Harvey’s Rescue House. Our current priority is population control and animal welfare work in the Kotayk region.
You can support Harvey’s Rescue House through our Donate page, where you’ll find our current donation options.
Your support helps fund the work that matters most to animals in need, including spaying and neutering, food, vaccinations, veterinary care, and emergency treatment.
Because our current focus is population control and animal welfare in the Kotayk region of Armenia, donations are especially valuable in helping us reach and support animals in communities outside Yerevan.
Because Harvey’s Rescue House currently operates out of our private family home, we do not offer general public visiting hours or drop-in tours. Protecting the peace, safety, and routine of both our family and our resident foster animals is our top priority.
However, we deeply appreciate community support and offer specific ways to get involved:
Adoption Meet-and-Greets: Approved adoption applicants are welcome to schedule a private visit to meet a specific animal in care.
Field Volunteering: We welcome volunteers to assist with localized street feeding runs, transporting animals to veterinary appointments in Yerevan, or helping coordinate community spay/neuter days.
Remote & Creative Support: You can help from anywhere in the world by managing social media outreach, fundraising, creating graphic design materials, or sponsoring an individual animal's care.
As we work toward securing land for a dedicated permanent shelter, opening our doors to public volunteers and community days will become a core part of our mission!
